indicates: metal particles in MRGB
w/ engine indications — Land immediately
no indications — LASAP
TR CHIP light
indicates: metal particles in TRGB
w/ engine indications — Land immediately
no indications — LASAP
ENGINE CHIP light
indicates: metal particles in engine
w/ engine indications — Land immediately
no indications — LASAP
GEN light
Indicates generator failure
turn off non-essential electrical equipment
switch GEN to RESET then back to ON
If light stays on — LASAP
LOW FUEL light
5 gal usable remaining = 10 min @ cruise power
<12 GAL light
12 gal remaing = 15-20 min before LOW FUEL light
@ CG limits — ± 4 gal
aft, left = <12
fwd, right = >12
FUEL FILTER light
fuel filter contamination
w/ engine indication — Land immediately
w/o other indication — LASAP
LOW RPM Light or LOW RPM Horn
rotor speed < 95%
immediately, collective — lower
throttle — verify FULL OPEN
(in fwd flight) Cyclic — aft
note: collective full down disables the horn
COWL DOOR light
baggage compart door, fuel filler cowl door, or engine cowl door is not closed
land as soon as practical
AIR FILTER light
air filter contamination/blockage

inspect filter
EMU light
flashing 4 times per sec = excedence
finish flight as normal, have maintenance inspect before next flight
ROTOR BRAKE light
rotor brake is engaged
release immediately in flight
release immediately before starting engine
HIGH RPM Warble
high/low tones alternate
occurs when R rpm approaching 106%
collective — raise as required
HIGH TORQUE/MGT Beep
beeps when above engine/MGT above 5 min limits — engine torque > 100% or MGT > 782*F
During flight:
collective — lower (to reduce power)
during start = MGT above 860*F
fuel cutoff — OFF
wait 10 sec
ignitor switch — OFF
