PNF in practice
Hold the limb until the muscle is stretched and tension is felt, for 30 seconds
Then isometrically contract the stretched muscle by pushing the leg forward against their partner for 10 seconds, partner resists all movement
The limb is pushed past its normal range of movement for 30 seconds. Then 30 seconds recovery before repeating
