The intra-city distribution of freight and passenger transport primarily accomplished by highways and other urban transit modes.
Traffic Engineering
A branch of transportation engineering that focuses on the analysis, design, and management of traffic flow and control devices.
Pavement Design
The process of determining the appropriate thickness and materials for road surfaces.
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Technological systems that enhance traffic management and increase mobility and safety.
Sustainable Transportation
Transport systems that are environmentally friendly and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Para-transit
A mode of transportation using small passenger vehicles usually operating informally on a fare-paying basis.
