Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
The study of how people interact with computers and to design technologies that let humans interact with computers in novel ways.
Learning Outcomes (LO)
Statements that describe what students are expected to learn and be able to demonstrate by the end of a module.
Empirical research
A kind of research that is based on observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic.
Methodological contribution
The introduction of new methods in research that could improve the approach to solving existing problems.
Satisfaction
A measure of how products and services meet the expectations and needs of users.
Qualitative research methods
Research methods that collect non-numerical data to understand concepts, opinions, or experiences.
Usability
The ease with which users can learn and use a product to achieve their goals effectively and satisfactorily.
Causal chain
A sequence of events or conditions that lead to a specific outcome, often used to analyze the effect of one variable on another.
Transferable skills
Skills that can be applied in different contexts or job environments, such as information literacy, critical thinking, and data analysis.
Literature review
A comprehensive survey of existing literature relevant to a particular topic or research question.
