Frontal Bone
The bone that forms the forehead and the upper part of the eye sockets.
Nasal Conchae
Three bony projections (superior, middle, inferior) within the nasal cavity that help with air filtration.
Epiglottis
A flap of cartilage that covers the windpipe during swallowing to prevent food from entering the airway.
Thyroid Cartilage
The largest cartilage of the larynx, commonly known as the Adam's apple.
Vocal Cords
Folds of tissue in the larynx that vibrate to produce sound.
Cricoid Cartilage
A ring-like structure that forms the base of the larynx.
Larynx
The voice box that contains the vocal cords and is responsible for sound production.
Trachea
The windpipe that connects the larynx to the bronchi, allowing the passage of air.
Bronchi
The main passageways that branch from the trachea into the lungs.
Pulmonary Alveoli
Tiny air sacs in the lungs where gas exchange occurs.
