Four-in-Hand Knot
A basic and popular knot for neckties, known for its simplicity and asymmetry.
Position the Tie
Drape the tie around your neck with the wide end on your dominant hand’s side, hanging 6-8 inches lower than the narrow end.
Cross the Wide End
Bring the wide end of the tie across the front of the narrow end to the opposite side.
Wrap Around
Take the wide end behind the narrow end and bring it back to the front on the opposite side.
Bring the Wide End Up
Pull the wide end up and through the loop around your neck.
Thread Through the Knot
Pass the wide end through the front knot that has been created.
Tighten the Knot
Hold the narrow end and slide the knot upward gently until it fits snugly at your collar.
Adjust
Ensure the tie lays flat, the knot is centered, and the tip of the tie just touches the top of your belt buckle.
