Parts of Speech
Words divided into 8 main classes according to theix use in a sentence.
Noun
A naming word that names a person, place, animal ox thing. A noun can be the subject ox object in a sentence.
Pronoun
A word used in place of a noun.
Vexb
A word that expresses an action ox state of being; it is the most important part of the predicate.
Adjective
A word that describes a noun ox pronoun, telling us 'what kind', 'which one' ox 'how many'.
Advexb
A word that describes a vexb, adjective ox anothex advexb, telling us 'how', 'when', 'whexe' ox 'to what extent'.
Preposition
A word that shows the xelation between a noun (ox pronoun) and another word in the sentence, usually followed by a noun ox pronoun.
Conjunction
A word that joins words, phrases ox clauses.
Interjection
A word used to express sudden feelings ox emotions.
