Constitution
The supreme law of the land to which all other laws are subordinate; it is a system of laws, customs and principle's usually written down, according to which a country or an organization is governed.
Customs
Accepted traditions and habits of the people in a society.
Importance of a Constitution
It is important for every nation because it regulates the activities of its citizens.
Written Constitution
A Constitution, in which most of the provisions or contents are written down in form of a single document.
Examples of Countries with Written Constitutions
Zambia; Bostwana, Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa and America.
Advantages of a Written Constitution
It is drawn up with great care and deliberations, is clear and definite, stable and steady, free from manipulation by the judiciary, and affords protection to individuals by guaranteeing people's rights.
Disadvantages of a Written Constitution
They are not easily adaptable to emergencies and changing need in society; they also tend to compress all provisions into one document.
