Where does specular reflection take place
On smooth surfaces
Why does a blue object appear black through a red filter
A blue object reflects blue light and absorbs most other colors. A green filter transmits green light but absorbs (or blocks) blue light. Therefore, the blue light reflected by the object cannot pass through the filter, so almost no light reaches the eye and the object appears black.

The filter absorbs all colours of visible light apart from red . So only red is transmitted through the filter

Why can we easily see through transparent objects but not translucent
Because translucent objects scatter the light rays so we cannot see they them clearly

Why do black objects appear black
Because they absorb all the wavelengths of visible light
When white lightened on blue object what happens
All colours are being absorbed apart from blue which is being reflected

What happens if there is a red object and red filter
The red filter absorbs all of the colours of white light apart from red which is transmitted . The red light can now reflect off the red object so the object appears red
