Evaporation (hydrosphere to atmosphere)
A process where liquid water turns into water vapor using the heat of the sun.
Condensation (atmosphere into either the hydrosphere or biosphere)
Process where water vapor turns back into liquid water using the coolness of the atmosphere.
Precipitation (atmosphere to geosphere biosphere or hydrosphere)
Process were any form of water falls from the atmosphere in many forms. It can be snow, sleet, hail, ice or rain.
Runoff (geosphere to hydrosphere)
The process where water flows on the surface horizontally or down over a non-porous earth. An example of this is a river.
Infiltration (hydrosphere to geosphere)
Process where water enters the Earth a.k.a. dirt through small holes/gaps.
Ground Water Flow (Geosphere to hydrosphere)
process where water moves through holes and gaps beneath the surface.
Transpiration (biosphere to atmosphere)
Process where water vapor moves from tree leaves to the air.
