Experimental method?

a research method that involves manipulating an independent variable to determine a cause-and-effect relationship

Aim?

a general statement of what the researcher intends to investigate; the purpose of the study

Hypothesis?

a specific and testable statement that sets out the expected result of a study, written before the study takes place

What will a hypotheses include?

independent variable and dependent variable

Non-directional hypothesis?

says there will be an effect, but doesn’t state the direction expected in the results
