What is team building?
The action or process of causing a group of people to work together effectively as a team, especially by means of activities and events designed to increase motivation and promote cooperate
Forming stage
involves team members coming together, introducing themselves to one another, making character observations, and getting to know one another.
Storming
associated with team conflict, confusion of roles or responsibilities, and the organization of the team
norming
team members begin to develop a better understanding of roles, responsibilities, and tasks.
performing
team members begin functioning well together and working toward their team-intended purpose
adjourning
when teams end or conclude their purpose or when team members disengage themselves
Team
a group of interdependent individuals with complementary skills and a commitment to shared meaningful purpose with specific goals

individuals interact with one another to maintain stable patterns of relationships and have common shared goals
Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
Defined as multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds working together with patients, families, careers, and communities to deliver the highest quality of care

Multidisciplinary teams

identified as 2 or more health care professionals working together to provide collaborate care to patients and their families
Transdisciplinary teams
based on collaboration, consensus building, and role release among professionals from differing theoretical and specialty backgrounds.
