Production Planning (PP)

SAP module that is used to plan and accomplish manufacturing tasks with materials requirements planning. Has the ability to perform lot size optimization, sequence planning, and exception handling as part of data management.

Material Management (MM)

SAP module that is used to handle supply chain logistics, sourcing, inventory procurement, and inventory management. It is typically used in conjunction with accounts payable in the SAP FI module for matching POs and receivers.

Sales and Distribution (SD)

SAP module that is used to handle sales, pricing, shipping, credit management, billing, and foreign transactions.

Project System (PS)

SAP module that is used as a project management solution. It can be used for customer and internal projects.

Plant Maintenance (PM)

SAP module that is used for planned maintenance, predictive maintenance, and plant shutdown. Offers embedded IoT capabilities through sensors connected to plant equipment and software through integrations with BTP.

Quality Management (QM)

SAP module that is used for quality planning, inspection, and control. Can be integrated with MM, SD, and PP modules.
