What did the USA do from 1945 - 46 as part of the Marshall Plan?
Pumped an immense amount of goods, raw materials and money into Europe.
By 1947, there were real anxieties that European markets were continuing to decline.

Were concerned decline of European markets would destabilise European countries, making them more susceptible to communist influence.

He forbade his satellites and the Soviet zone taking up the offer.
How did the Western zones react to the Marshall Plan?
They welcomed it as necessity. All 3 zones were integrated into the ERP (European Recovery Programme aka Marshall Plan)
What did the ERP mean for the Western zones?
It took important decisions away from occupying powers.
What did the Marshall Plan mark?
Another step widening the gap between East and West Germany.
