  • Represents managers in the prison service

  • In the run up to the 2024 election, published a newspaper piece saying prisons were ‘at breaking point’

  • It lobbied for the release of prisoners to ease pressure

  • Once labour won a landslide in the 2024 election, by October, almost 3,000 prisoners had been freed early in England and Wales, under the governments plan to free up 5,500 prison spaces in total
