Flow of Control
Refers to the order in which the computer executes our code
Selection Structures
Allows us to add deviations or different paths in the flow of the program
Boolen Value
A value that only has two possible values or states - True or False
Logical Operators
Will takes Boolen operands and produce Boolen results
NOT
Unary operators, operators and operand
AND/OR
Binary, operates on two operands
IF statment
Allows the program ot execute a block of code only if a specific condition is met. Built using Boolen expressions
ELSE IF / ELIF
Condition will only be evalutated by the computer if the previous IF or ELIF statment failed. Evauluted to False
ELSE Statment
Must be placed after an IF statment or an ELIF statment. Does not have any conditional. Will always be executed if none of the conditions from the IF statments and ELIF statments were met.
Nesting
You can have another IF statment structure nested in another IF statment
Match Statements
Provids another selection structure to pragmatically decide which statments gets executed next
Cases
Will contain a value and a body
Numeric Value Integer → Case 1
Numeric Value String → Case “1”
