Energy
The ability to cause change, taking forms such as motion, light, and sound.
Sun
Primary source of energy for Earth.
Photosynthesis
Process where plants directly use the sun's energy to produce food.
Food chain
Relies on energy flow from sun, to producer, to consumer, to secondary consumer.
Chemical energy from plants is changed to
heat and motion in animals and humans.
Mechanical systems developed by humans use

Technology converts the sun's energy in fossil fuels to
