what r the attributes of TFOTG?

  • most important

  • illuminates all of other forms & gives them value

  • purest most abstract forms

  • furtherst away from physical world

  • e.g. justice beauty

  • aspects of goodness - relies on TFOTG for its intelligibility (make sense) - to have meaning. TFOTF = sun, HF = sun rays. without sun, rays wouldnt exist and we wouldnt be able to see them

  • noble qualities

  • not as important as TFOTG

  • and recognises true nature of goodness

- one who genuinely loves wisdom

- will want to put their wisdom into practice by teaching others and setting an example

  • love involves action, not passivity

- and this, for p, is why countries should be ruled by philosopher kings
