Request form (て-form)
Used to make polite requests in Japanese, example: まどを あけてください (Please open the window).
Permission (~てもいいですか)
Phrase used to ask for permission, example: トイレに いっても いいですか (May I go to the bathroom?).
Prohibition (~てはいけません)
Phrase used to indicate something is prohibited, example: ここで たべては いけません (You must not eat here).
Actions in Progress (~ています)
Form used to describe actions that are currently ongoing, example: いま べんきょうして います (I am studying now).
Two Actions (Verb て、Verb て…)
Form used to connect two consecutive actions, example: スーパーへ いって、パンを かいます (I will go to the supermarket and buy bread).
Let’s (~ましょう)
Phrase used to suggest doing something together, example: いっしょに たべましょう (Let’s eat together).
Offer Help (~ましょうか)
Phrase that suggests offering help, example: にもつを もちましょうか (Shall I help you carry this?).
Reasons (~から)
Used to indicate the reason for an action, example: べんきょうします。テストが ありますから (I study because I have a test).
