Imparfait
Used to describe ongoing actions, habitual actions, states of being, or provide background information in the past.
Regular Verbs Imparfait
Follow a pattern of removing "-ons" from the nous form of the present tense to get the stem and adding specific endings for different subjects in the imparfait tense.
Irregular Verbs Imparfai
Have unique stems in the imparfait tense but use the same endings as regular verbs.
Passé Composé
Formed with an auxiliary verb (avoir or être) in the present tense and the past participle of the main verb to express completed actions in the past.
Futur Proche
Describes actions that will happen soon by conjugating "aller" in the present tense and adding the infinitive form of the main verb.
Futur Simple
Expresses future actions by adding specific endings to the infinitive form of the verb, regardless of the proximity of the action in the future.
Passé Récent
Indicates actions that have just occurred by conjugating "venir" in the present tense, adding "de," and the infinitive form of the main verb.
Present
Used for actions happening at the moment, habitual actions, general truths, or future actions in certain contexts by conjugating verbs based on their stems and specific endings for different subjects.
