“And God formed (va-yay-tzer) a human being from the dust
of the earth…
Genesis
But for Adam[f] no suitable
helper was found. 21 So the LORD God
caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and
while he was sleeping, he took one of the
man’s ribs[g] and then closed up the place
with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a
woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of
the man, and he brought her to the man

Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and
it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am
waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh,
saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, when I am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will
return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall
have a son.
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid.
And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh

therefore the LORD
God sent him out of the garden of

and He placed cherubim at the east

sword which turned every way, to
guard the way to the tree of life.
Genesis
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower,
which the children of men builded.
6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have
all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing
will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that
they may not understand one another's speech.
8So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the
face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city

Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful
to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a
teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew
over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He
was [the] Christ. And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the
principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those
that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to
them alive again the third day; as the divine prophets had foretold
these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him.
And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at
this day.

In those days John the Baptist

Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles…
25 There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On
the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at
the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26Men will faint
from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the
world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27At
that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a
cloud with power and great glory. 28When these
things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your

Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg
you, don't torture me!" 29For Jesus had commanded the evil[c]spirit
to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he
was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his
chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. 30Jesus
asked him, "What is your name?"

Luke
While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to
Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5"A farmer
went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some
fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air
ate it up. 6Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants
withered because they had no moisture. 7Other seed fell among
thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8Still other
seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred
times more than was sown."
When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear,
let him hear."
• 9His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10He said,
"The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been
given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,
" 'though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.'[a]
• 11"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of
God. …

14Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news
about him spread through the whole countryside. 15He taught in
their synagogues, and everyone praised him. 16 He went to
Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he
went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to
read. 17The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.
Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
18"The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
19to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."[e]
• 20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat
down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on
him, 21and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is

Luke
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord
in one place.
[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon
each of them.
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
[5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation
under heaven.
[6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
[7] And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are
not all these which speak Galilaeans?
[8] And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
[9] Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in
Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
[10] Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene,
and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
[11] Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful
works of God
Acts
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked.

Fear?
What should a man fear? It’s all chance,
1070 chance rules our lives. Not a man on earth

Better to live at random, best we can.
