Emerging technology
Any technology which helps a business to promote the business and increase efficiency along with innovation through combinations of technology such as artificial intelligence.
IoT (Internet of Things)
Smart devices that use sensors and applications to communicate and send signals through the Internet to be managed remotely.
IoT edge devices
Devices located near the customer that capture data from centralized locations, such as cloud computing, to serve as an edge for data collection.
Unique identifier
An internal sensor or unique IP address within an IoT device that allows it to be identified and controlled via applications.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
A technique using an antenna, a circuit-based tag, and a reader to broadcast and read signals via the Internet for industries like supply chain and agriculture.
Big data
A term describing a large volume of data captured by devices that requires complex analysis to help business analytics make proper decisions.
Collaboration software
Virtual meeting and online cloud-based tools such as Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams used to connect different office locations.
Cloud services
Software and storage like Gmail, iCloud, OneDrive, and Google Drive that allow users to save and access data over the Internet rather than on a local computer.
CRM system (Customer Relationship Management)
Enterprise systems used to capture customer understanding, feedback, and product satisfaction to improve business efficiency.
P2P (Peer-to-Peer) sharing
A file-sharing system where one computer transfers files directly to another computer via a physical wire or wireless connection.
MS Project software
A productivity tool specifically used for managing project tasks.
SPSS software
A tool used for research, statistics analysis, costing, analytical design, or business analytics.
Adobe Dreamweaver
A specialized software used for web development.
QuickBooks
A software application used for business accounting purposes.
Workday
A set of software used by human resources (HR) to manage finance and other organizational tasks.
