Hammurabi
The sixth king of the First Babylonian Dynasty who is best known for issuing the Code of Hammurabi, one of the earliest and most complete written legal codes.
Alexander the Great
The king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon who created one of the largest empires in history, stretching from Greece to northwestern India by the age of thirty.
Qin Shi Huang
The founder of the Qin dynasty and the first emperor of a unified China, known for beginning the construction of the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army.
Julius Caesar
A Roman general and statesman whose dictatorship and subsequent assassination played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic.
Augustus
The first Roman Emperor, reigning from 27 BCE until his death in 14 CE, who established the Pax Romana.
Constantine the Great
The Roman Emperor who issued the Edict of Milan in 313 CE, legalizing Christianity, and moved the empire's capital to Byzantium (Constantinople).

The ruler of the Mali Empire in the 14th century who is widely considered one of the wealthiest individuals in history and famous for his pilgrimage to Mecca.

The longest-reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, under whose rule the empire reached its economic, military, and political apex.
Louis XIV
Known as the "Sun King," he was the absolute monarch of France from 1643 to 1715 who centralized power and built the Palace of Versailles.
Catherine the Great
The longest-ruling female leader of Russia who expanded the empire's borders and oversaw a period of Westernization and Enlightenment known as the Russian Enlightenment.
Napoleon Bonaparte
A French military and political leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led several successful campaigns, becoming Emperor of the French.
Queen Victoria
The Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 to 1901, whose reign witnessed the height of the Industrial Revolution and the expansion of the British Empire.
