Otitis Externa
Inflammation of the external ear.
Otitis
Ear inflammation or ear infection.
Externa
Of the outside; contrasted with interna, which means of the inside.
Cocci
Round bacteria which may appear in chains or bunches.
Rods
A type of bacteria identified in ear cytologies, such as Pseudomonas or Proteus.
Yeast
A common cause for Otitis Externa, often identified as Malassezia.

The specific identification for yeast found in ear cytology.
