A descriptor for something that is okay or acceptable, but not necessarily very good.
Delicious
A term used to describe food that tastes very good.
Strange
Used to describe something that is not normal or is unusual.
Rude
Behavior that is not polite or is disrespectful to others.
Blog
An online platform where individuals write about their personal news and share photos.
Instant message (IM)
A form of digital communication that is free and typically takes place in real time.
Hardly ever
A frequency adverb meaning almost never.
Sightseeing
An activity involving visiting interesting or famous places in a town or city while on holiday.
Foreign currency
Money belonging to or used in another country.
Souvenirs
Items bought during a trip to help remember the holiday or to give as gifts.
Set off
A multi-word verb meaning to start a journey.
Board (verb)
The act of getting onto a plane, train, or bus.
Land (verb)
When an aircraft arrives at an airport and touches the ground.
Hitchhike
To travel by standing at the side of a road and asking for free rides from drivers.

A situation where a plane or train leaves or arrives later than planned.

To give money to someone for a period of time, expecting them to return it.

To take money from a person or bank with the agreement to pay it back.

To keep money regularly so that you can buy something expensive later.
Afford
To have enough money to be able to buy or pay for something.
Receipt
A piece of paper that proves you have paid for something in a shop.
Refund
Money given back to a customer who returns a product to a shop.
Crowded
A location that is full of people.
Ancient
Used to describe something that is very old, typically from hundreds or thousands of years ago.
Peaceful
A place that is quiet and calm.
Self-employed
Working for oneself instead of for a specific company or boss.
Qualifications
Official records or degrees showing that someone has finished a course or has the skills needed for a job.
Salary
A fixed amount of money that you receive regularly for doing your job.
Confusing
Something that is difficult to understand and makes you feel unsure.
Exhausted
A feeling of being extremely tired after a lot of physical or mental effort.
Prescription
An official piece of paper from a doctor that allows you to get specific medicine from a chemist.
Sensible
A personality trait of someone who makes good decisions and acts practically.
Generous
Someone who is willing to give their money, time, or things to others.
Reliable
A person who can be trusted to do what they say and arrive on time.
Sociable
Someone who enjoys spending time with other people and going to parties.
Creative
A person who is talented at thinking of new ideas or making things like art or music.
Android
A robot that is designed to look and act like a human being.
Cyborg
A being that is part human and part machine, often having robotic body parts.

Large outdoor signs used for displaying advertisements.
