BFAC Tornado Procedure

General Tornado

1) When tornado is anticipated, staff, volunteers, and crew need to be informed of procedures

2) FOH lead watches weather. If it goes to watch to warning, they inform tech lead.

3) Under warning, performance stops and patrons take shelter

4) Patron experience supervisor gets megaphone and plays recording center stage.

5) Everyone should be on channel 1

Patron Experience Supervisor

1) Get megaphone and play recording on stage

FOH Lead

1) Hold black box doors open if people are in balcony

Outer Doors

1) Hold north outer open for balcony people, tell them to go to black box

2) When all balcony people are gone, join patron experience supervisor in house

1)House (orchestra/mezz)

2) Black Box

3) BFAC Restrooms

4) Makeup Room

5) Dressing Room

6) Basement

7) Studio

8) South Storage

9) Work room/ break room

Performers go to

Basement

Performers in black box go to

Closest safe shelter

When tornado warning is lifted

1) Balcony patrons may go back

2) Performers may go to places
