When would you use absolute formatting?

When you need a formula to refer to a specific call that must not change when it is copied or dragged across other cells. It locks the column/row to a constant reference.

When would you use relative formatting?

When you want formulas to automatically adjust based on their new position when copied, moved, or dragged across rows and columns.

What is the purpose of the goal seek tool?

Allows for what-if analysis that finds the specific input value needed to achieve a desired formula result
