Quality of Life

Preventative
An element of rehabilitation focused on preventing the loss of function.
Restorative
An element of rehabilitation focused on improvement or restoration of function.
Supportive
An element of rehabilitation that provides support to maintain or enhance quality of life.
Palliative
An element of rehabilitation aimed at providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness.
Goals of Rehabilitation
To prevent loss of function, slow the loss of function, improve or restore function, and maintain current function.
