Describe a time when you went to a party with your friends.

  • When did it happen?

  • What kind of party was it?

  • What did you do there?

  • How did you feel about it?

I would like to talk about a time when I went to a party with my friends last summer.

It happened when one of my classmates invited us to her birthday celebration at a small restaurant. It was a simple but cheerful birthday party, and around ten of us were there.

During the party, we ate together, talked and laughed, sang songs, and took photos. We also enjoyed the music and played a few small games.

What I enjoyed most was the friendly atmosphere, because everyone felt happy and comfortable. I did not feel nervous at all, and I could really feel relaxed. That is why it became such a memorable evening for me. It gave me a chance to spend quality time with my close friends.

Describe a party you would like to have in the future.

  • What kind of party would it be?

  • Where would you like to have it?

  • Who would you visit?

  • Why would you like to have it?

I would like to talk about a party I hope to have in the future. It would probably be a small family party after I achieve an important goal in my life.

I would like to hold it in an outdoor space, maybe in a garden or on a rooftop, because I like open and comfortable places.

The people I would invite would be my family members and a few close friends.

One thing I would like to do is decorate the place with lights and flowers, and prepare food and drinks that everyone likes. I want the party to be simple but meaningful, with a relaxing atmosphere. I think it would be special because I could celebrate with family and friends and create happy memories. It would give me a chance to spend quality time with the people who matter most to me.

Why do people like having parties?

I think because parties help create social connection and allow them to celebrate important moments in life. They are also a good way to reduce stress and take a break from daily routines. In addition, parties can help people feel closer to others and simply enjoy themselves in a relaxed environment.

Are small parties better than large parties?

It really depends on personal preference. Small parties usually have a more comfortable atmosphere, and people can communicate more easily without feeling crowded and noisy. However, large parties may be more exciting and have a livelier atmosphere.

Do you think parties are different now compared with the past? Why/why not?

Yes, I think parties today are quite different because of the modern lifestyle and technology. It is now more convenient to organize events, invite people online, and share photos on social media. However, people sometimes spend too much time on their phones instead of having real personal interaction in the parties.
