How did the Little Rock nine enter the school?
A week after the children were forced to go home by the angry mob. President Eisenhower sent armed troops to accompany them into school safely, without them being attacked by the mob.

She was on the bus, sitting behind the "whites only section", the bus filled up with white people but one white man was left with no seat and so the bus driver asked Rosa to give up her seat. She said "No" and was arrested and sent to jail.

It's started on Sunday 4th December 1955 and by November 1956 Supreme Court legalised integration on buses.

What Happened in the bus boycott?
Streets were filled with people walking

MLK held a meeting and gave a speech inspiring the community to continue their boycott and end it when segregation was ended on buses. He was arrested with 100 others and his home was bombed at least 3 times.

A march at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC where he gave his famous speech "I have a dream", it was a powerful speech, touching the heart of many. it was broadcasted on TV to reach as many people as possible.

They were beaten by police and had tear gas

Second March was in Selma and peacefully prayed in front of police and gave up and turned around

3rd March they got all the way to Montgomery
