Virginia Plan and New Jersey Plan
The two plans that attempted to revise the Articles of Confederation in regards to how the US government should be structured.
Virginia Plan
A plan to impose a government structure that gave the US government 3 branches (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). The legislative branch would be bicameral and have an Upper House (population based and elected by the people) and a Lower House (population based).
New Jersey Plan
A plan to impose a government structure that gave the US government 3 branches (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). The legislative branch would be unicameral and have one house where each state would have one representative.

Connecticut Compromise
The legislative branch would be bicameral with the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Senate would have equal representation, and the House would have representation based on population. The judicial branch would also be comprised of a single Supreme Court (lower courts could be needed by Congress if needed).
