Saturated Fatty Acid
hard to break, no double bonding
Unsaturated Fatty Acids
easier to digest, double bonded.
Lipids
source of energy, non-polar, don’t mix with water.
Amino Acids
make up protein
Triglycerides
3 fatty acids.
Polyunsaturated Fat
fat with more than one double bond in their carbon skeleton (structure).
Hydrogenated fat
have double bonds broken by adding hydrogen, making them saturated fats.
