Section 7

All people have the right to life, liberty, and security

Section 8

Citizens have the right to refuse a search or seizure that is unreasonable

Section 9

Citizens cannot be arbitrarily detained or imprisoned

Section 10

Rights to be informed of the reasons for detention. The right to a lawyer and to be released from detention if detention is not valid

Section 11

Every person has the right to be informed of an offence if charged, to be tried within a reasonable time, to not be forced to testify in court, and presumed innocent until proven guilty

Section 12

All citizens have the right to not be subject to any cruel or unusual punishment

Section 13

A witness who testifies in court has the right to not have any self-incriminating evidence, except in prosecution for perjury or for giving contradictory evidence.

Section 14

A witness in any testimony who does not understand or speak the language that court proceedings are in or is deaf has the right to an interpreter
