Aerobic power
the rate of energy production from the aerobic energy system- factors effecting: age, sex, muscle fibre type (slow twitch)
muscular edurance
the ability for a muscle or muscle groups to perform repeated contractions - factors that effect age, sex, muscle fibre type (slow twitch)
balance
the ability to control your body’s equilbrium while stationary or moving and remain upright throughout the movement - factors that affect: age, sex, position of body parts (stability of postion)
flexibility
the capacity of joint to move through its full range of motion - factors that affect body temperature, soft tissue structure, joint type and structure
coordination
the ability for the body to use its senses to manipulate body parts and execute movements smoothly and accurately - factors affecting: complexity of task, level of expierence, practice
muscular strength
the ability for a muscle or muscle groups to produce peak power in a single effort - factors affecting: muscle size, fibre type, joint angle
anaerobic capacity
the maximum amount of ATP production obtainable from anaerobic energy systems. factors affecting: age, sex, muscle fibre type (fast twitch)
agility
the ability to change body position quickly and accurately to the stimulus - factors affecting: speed, coordiantion, visual processing
muscular power
the ability for a muscle or muscle group to exert a maximum amount of force in a short period of time - factors that affect: age, velocity of movement, muscle fibre type (fastest twitch)
speed
the ability of your body parts or your body to move from one point to another quickly - factors that affect: muscle fibre type (fastest twitch), age, sex
