Frontal bone
The bone forming the forehead region of the skull.
Occipital bone
The bone that forms the back and base of the skull.
Foramen magnum
The large opening in the occipital bone through which the spinal cord passes.
Cervical vertebrae
The vertebrae of the neck, specifically C1-C7.
Hyoid bone
A U-shaped bone in the neck that supports the tongue.
Clavicle
Also known as the collarbone, connects the arm to the body.
Acetabulum
The socket of the hipbone for the head of the femur.
Medial malleolus
The bony prominence on the inner side of the ankle, part of the tibia.
Condyle
A rounded end of a bone that articulates with another bone.
Fossa
A shallow depression in a bone.
Foreman
An opening or hole in a bone for nerves and blood vessels.
Facet
A smooth, flat surface on a bone for articulation.
Process
A bony projection or outgrowth.
Spine
A pointed projection on a bone.
Tuberosity/tubercle
A large rounded projection on a bone, usually for muscle attachment.
Fissure
A narrow opening or slit in a bone.
