• vasodilator

• dilates coronary arteries

• dilates systemic veins and arteries

• decreases preload, afterload and bp

fentanyl contraindications

• previous or known allergy or adverse reaction

• pregnant women >20 weeks gestation

• consider alcohol interactions

• agitation in the trauma or critically ill patient
