Burette
A calibrated glass tube used to deliver variable amounts of liquid in a titration.
Meniscus
The curve at the surface of a liquid in a container, used to read liquid volumes.
Titration
A technique in chemistry to determine the concentration of a solution by adding a known volume of a titrant.
Concentration
The amount of a substance in a given volume of solution.
Titrant
The solution of known concentration used in a titration process.
Neutralization
The chemical reaction between an acid and a base, resulting in the formation of water and a salt.
Rough Titration
An initial titration used to estimate the endpoint in order to refine subsequent titrations.
Endpoint
The point in a titration at which the reaction is complete, often indicated by a color change.
Transition Point
The stage in titration where the solution changes color, indicating neutrality.
