Why is prayer important to Christians?

Encourages reflection in middle of busy life, enables Christians to talk and listen to God, helps Christians keep a close relationship with God, helps Christians accept God’s will even if it means suffering, gives a sense of peace, and gives strength in times of trouble.

What is the Lord’s Prayer?

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

your Kingdom come, your will be done,

one earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread,

Forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
