Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
a disease characterized by inappropriate inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It occurs in infancy, childhood, or both, and may be known as hyperkinetic syndrome, hyperactivity, minimal brain damage, minimal brain dysfunction, and minimal cerebral dysfunction.
