Jahannam
The place of fire, torment, and eternal separation from God for those who reject truth and do evil.
Al-Qadir
The Arabic term for God’s omnipotence, meaning He is all-powerful and the sustainer of the universe.
Al-Qadr
The belief in predestination, meaning God has a plan for everything and nothing happens without His will.
Akhirah
The Islamic belief in everlasting life after death, encompassing the grave, judgement, and the afterlife.
Barzakh
The "waiting state" or barrier in the grave where the soul stays between death and the Day of Judgement.
Tawhid
The central belief in the Oneness of God; the first of the Six Articles of Faith.
Malaikah
The belief in Angels, such as Jibril (revelation) and Mika'il (sustenance).
Kutub
Belief in the Holy Books, including the Qur'an, Tawrat (Torah), Zabur (Psalms), and Injil (Gospel).
Risalah
Belief in the Prophets as messengers of God, from Adam to Muhammad (pbuh).
Id-ul-Fitr
The festival marking the end of Ramadan; a time of thanksgiving, communal prayer, and charity (Zakah-ul-Fitr).
Jummah Prayer
The midday communal prayer on Friday that includes a sermon (Khutbah) and strengthens the Ummah.
Ummah
