we have freewill and are made in the image/likeness of God.

**What does God want from man? How do we know this? (3 things)**

He wants us to have a relationship with each other and to love one another and him. We were made for relationships  

**Who is the Sabbath for?** 

For us to renew our relationship with God

**What do we learn about the order and structure of creation?**

God made the world with an order and plan- he is not chaos and confuion

**How can we apply “what is first in intention is last in execution” to man and woman?**

We are made last because we are important 

**What do covenants have to do with creation?** 

it’s a kinship bond which makes families. They are weaved throughout all of salvation History. 

**What task is man given?** 

take care of the land/animals, be fruitful and multiply 

**Is man like the animals?** 

no we have freewill and a conscience

**Are man and woman equal?** 

yes

**What is original solitude, how is it realized, and what does it show us?** 

when Adam is alone; this is how we know that mankind is made for relationship with others- because when man is alone he realizes that something is missing. 

**What does the story of the Fall tell us?** 

explains why human beings are not always happy and do not live forever

**Where does sin come from?** 

free will of humans

**Who does sin affect?** 

everybody

**What was the sin of Adam and Eve?** 

pride and disobedience

gods

**What were the consequences of the Fall?**

our relationship with God was damaged and we now have concupiscence

half truths

**What enters the world as a result?**

sin

**What does shame indicate?**

interior vision has been threatened

**What are at least two ways we see God’s mercy in the Garden after the Fall?** 

cursed the snake

tells them what to expect

gives them new outfits

has them leave Garden so he can keep them from living in mortal sin forever.

Genesis 3:15: first time mentioning Jesus, Mary and the slavation

tells us the good news of salvation, Christ will destroy Satan while Satan will only be able to strike at the heel of Jesus.

fortells of the eventual triumph of a woman and her offspring over the serpent.  

**Who is the New Covenant?** 

Jesus

How do we enter into the New Covenant? 

the sacrament of baptism

What is the Church? 

the family of God

What do the sacraments do for our relationship with God?

give us hope of salvation and eternal life. They bring us into God’s family on earth and help us to have a relationship with him
