Skin
An organ that acts as a barrier between the outside and inside of the body, preventing pathogens from entering.
Muscle
An organ composed of individual muscles like biceps, triceps, or latissimus dorsi.
Bone
An organ located underneath the muscle.
Stratified Squamous Epithelial Tissue
The tissue on the outside of the skin with a protective job, preventing bacteria from entering.
Areolar Tissue
A fragile tissue that connects the skin to the tissue below.
Adipose Connective Tissue
Fat tissue located between the skin and muscle, used for energy storage.
Dense Irregular Connective Tissue
A protective tissue that covers muscles.
Tendon
A white, string-like structure that attaches muscle to bone.
Skeletal Muscle Tissue
Muscle tissue that is attached to the bone.
Dense Regular Connective Tissue
The tissue that makes up the tendon.
Compact Osseous Connective Tissue
The hard part of the bone.
Hyaline Cartilage Connective Tissue
A smooth, white tissue found at the ends of bones where joints are located.
Bone Marrow
The inside of a bone, composed of blood and fat.
