In 2020 we elected Joe Biden to be our president. This means we gave him our permission to be our president for the next 4 years.

The Bill of Rights lists many things the government cannot do and cannot take away (freedom of speech, religion, and press)
Example of Rule of Law
The Constitution allows us to impeach ( fire) presidents, senators & representatives, and judges when they do not follow the law.
Example of Democracy
Creating government is in the hands of the people. We create government by participating in elections.
