If there is a choice, you can choose between different things.
complain
If you complain about something, you say that there is something wrong and that you are not satisfied with it.
cookery
The activity of preparing and cooking food.
delicious
Food that tastes or smells very nice.
disgusting
Something that is horrible and makes you feel sick.
grilled
Food that has been cooked under very strong heat.
option
An option is something that you can choose.
portion
An amount of food that is served to one person at a meal.
programme
An individual broadcast on radio or television.
properly
If you do something properly, you do it well or in the correct way.
recipe
A set of instructions for making a particular dish.
rude
If someone is rude, they speak or behave in a way that is not polite and which might upset people.
seat
A chair, or a place to sit.
terrace
An area just outside a building or room where you can sit.
bean
The seeds of some plants that are eaten as food. Some beans are dried so that they will keep for a long time.
bill
A list which shows you how much you have to pay for something that you have received.
bitter
Something that has a strong taste that is the opposite of sweet.
book
If you book something, you arrange to have it or use it at a particular time in the future.
cloth
A small piece of material that you use for cleaning things.

To have something inside.
dessert
A dish of sweet food that you eat at the end of a meal.
get past
If you want to go from one side of something to the other and there is not very much space for you to go through.
herb
A plant with leaves that are used to add flavour to food.
jug
A container for holding and pouring liquids.
leg
An animal’s leg that is eaten as food.
mild
Food that does not have a strong taste.
offer
If you ask someone if they would like something and tell them they can have it if they want it.

When you tell the waiter in a restaurant what you want to eat and drink.

Food that has not been cooked.

If you are prepared and able to do something immediately.

If you think the price of something is not too expensive and is good value for money.
