Article 1

Established the legislative branch, the branch that makes laws

Article 2

Established the executive branch, the branch that carries out laws

Article 3

Established the judicial branch, the branch that evaluates laws and decides if they’re constitutional

Article 4

Established the relationship between the federal and state governments and said that states must treat residents of other states the same way they treat their own citizens

Article 5

Describes the process of amending the Constitution. New amendments can be added with a 2/3 vote in the house, a 2/3 vote in congress, and a 2/3 vote of state legislatures

Article 6

Established that the Constitution was the highest form of law (law of the land)

Article 7

Describes the process of ratifying the Constitution. 9/13 states must agree to ratify the constitution
