Trans Golgi Network
A part of the Golgi apparatus that contains endosomes, vacuoles, and the plasma membrane, and is crucial for protein synthesis and exocytosis.
Exocytosis
The process by which proteins and other substances are transported out of the cell via the Golgi apparatus.
Endocytosis
The process by which cells absorb molecules, ions, and organelles by engulfing them, opposite of exocytosis.
Golgi Apparatus
An organelle involved in the movement and modification of proteins from inside to outside of the cell.
Endosymbiosis
A historical process through which cells were able to absorb organelles and led to the evolution of complex life.
