Refusal vs Negotiation Skills
A set of skill sued in a situation where you need decline something or negotiate, depending on the situation. Skills include:
Say No
Say how you feel
Compromise (if possible) or walk away
Characteristics of a healthy sexual relationship
Trust
Have been together for a “while” (how long is a while?)
Privacy/confidentiality
Make decisions sober
Share past sexual history
Respect
Well informed on birth control, condoms, and the possible consequences.
Have gotten consent from a partner (no coercion or forced) and have given consent
Etc.
Benefits of postponing a sexual relationship
Better communicaiton between partners
Increased trust
Higher sastisfaction
Improved relationship
Reduced anxiety
Less regret
Male and Female Gender Boxes
Gender boxes created by social stereotypes on gender. Such as men being the breadwinner, lacking emotion, or having to be strong and muscular. On the women’s gender box it includes things such as being obdient, cleaner of the house, submissive to the husband, or being deemed petite and in need of protection. Not following these gender boxes may lead to socia backlash by peers or public. Like social stigma, isolation, or bullying (name calling.)

Red Light:

Green Light:
