Cognitive Bias
A systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment.
Confirmation Bias
The tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.
Anchoring Bias
The common human tendency to rely heavily on the first piece of information encountered when making decisions.
Hindsight Bias
The inclination to see events as having been predictable after they have already occurred.
Availability Heuristic
A mental shortcut that relies on immediate examples that come to a person's mind when evaluating a specific topic or decision.
Bandwagon Effect
The tendency for people to adopt certain behaviors, follow trends, or purchase items primarily because others are doing so.
Peak-End Rule
A psychological heuristic in which people judge an experience largely based on how they felt at its peak and its end.
Loss Aversion
The tendency to prefer avoiding losses to acquiring equivalent gains; it's better to not lose $5 than to find $5.
Status Quo Bias
A preference for the current state of affairs, and the belief that any change would be for the worse.

Social Proof
A psychological phenomenon where people assume the actions of others in an attempt to reflect correct behavior in a given situation.
Authority Bias
The tendency to attribute greater accuracy to the opinion of an authority figure.
Bystander Effect
The phenomenon where individuals are less likely to help a victim when other people are present.
