Good evening, everyone.

Part two

My name is Sophie Zhou, and I am currently a senior at Abraham Lincoln High School. In the fall of 2026, I will be majoring in pre-nursing at San Francisco State University.

Part three

First, I would like to sincerely thank TACT and the donors of this scholarship for this incredible opportunity.

Part four

I recognize that many students worked hard for this, and I’m deeply grateful to have been selected.

Part five

My passion for nursing comes from my personal experience in the ICU during my fathers stay.

Part six

From that experience, I gained a desire to become a cardiac nurse practitioner.

Part seven

Lastly, I would like to thank my teachers, mentors, family, and friends, especially those who are also scholarship recipients tonight, for inspiring and supporting me along the way.
