Define personality disorder
- Inflexible, rigid personality traits - result in maladaptive patterns of behavior/impairment in functioning
- Some personality behaviors considered normal-only if significant distress/impairment occurs=disorder
What is the criteria for a personality disorder?
- Impairment of personality functioning/maladaptive traits
